As reported in AMNY, a 6 year old rat terrier named Parker died after contracting Leptospirosis, likely from McCarren Park in Williamsburg.

Yeah, I had a 1.5 year old bulldog called Oscar that died last week because of lepto. We used to walk him in McCarren Park dog run everyday. Absolutely heartbreaking, all dog owners should read up on the symptoms and consult their vet if at all suspicious.
