Vinny and I have been casually searching for what we’ve dubbed “New Dog.” I have been scouring Petfinder, have been to a couple of shelters and talked to some breeders. I’ve seen some great puppies and dogs, but none that pulled at my heartstrings. There was a gorgeous purebred German Shepard puppy, super sweet Pit mix and lots of other very acceptable dogs. This morning I saw a photo on Petfinder that made me jump:

This is “Duke.” He’s 4 months old and they say he already knows how to sit and give paw. I sent in an application immediately. As luck would have it, my application was the first one that came in among a flood of e-mails they recieved about him. Now we are just waiting to find out when we can schedule a meeting.

What do ya’ll think? Could he be “New Dog”?
