Off Leash Dog Training
One of the joys of having a dog in New York City is the opportunity for off leash time in some of our lovely parks so off leash dog training is essential. If your dog doesn’t come when called, eats garbage (or horse poop!), jumps on people or chases squirrels, birds and other small animals then a trip to the park can be unpleasant or even unsafe. Whether you take advantage of off leash hours or other out of town activities, Doggie Academy can help you build solid off leash behaviors through a series of reward based games with mounting distractions. When appropriate, you can arrange to have your private lessons take place in a nearby park for “real life” training. For the ultimate in off leash control, Sarah can teach you how to train your dog using a remote collar in a series of private lessons. For more information about the remote collar (or e-collar) read this article by Martin Deeley, co-founder of International Association of Canine Professionals.
