Our first Rally Obedience trial is this Saturday! With crazy schedules, we have not all been able to practice together very often. But we have trained individually and will try to “cram” sometime this week.

Everyone is going in with a good attitude. None of us have any real Rally experience so we have had to teach ourselves everything. We have even had to learn all of the rules, such as what side of the signs to perform the exercise on? In some instances we do not have answers to our questions. Is it ok that when Hank ‘Stands’ his butt kicks out and he faces Sarah a bit? Or that Lucy hops up sometimes as she’s walking? Some stuff we will just have to find out when we do it.

No matter what happens next Saturday, the trial has given all three of us motivation to train our own dogs. Wish us luck!
