As many of you know, Charleston and I were a therapy team for The Good Dog Foundation. The Trainer/Coordinator for Brooklyn & Queens, Annie Angell, has sent me her sympathies and recently said this in a Good Dog newsletter:
Before I get into the Good Dog news I want to extend Good Dog’s deepest sympathies to Brooklyn Volunteer Sarah Westcott. She lost her Good Dog partner Charleston to a fibrosarcoma in his mouth in June.Charleston was a big, beautiful chocolate lab who left us way too early, he was only 6 years old.Sarah and Charlie visited the residents of New Carlton Nursing Home spreading their joy for about a year and a half. Thank you Sarah for sharing your special boy with all of us.
She also forwarded me a couple of photos of Charlie, taken at his Good Dog graduation. They really reminded me of what a good sport he was. Thank you, Annie.
