I realized today that I’m really really ready for a puppy. I still get super sad when I think about Charleston, but I’m ready to accept a new puppy with a different personality and challenges. So, I ramped up my search and sent several applications to several rescue groups. Currently I am scheduled to meet this guy and his 2 brothers this weekend.

Right now they are named Jack, John and Jim. Vinny’s not able to come with me but he’s willing to give me the power to make an “executive decision.” I’m a little afraid that I won’t be able to make a decision without hearing his input, so maybe I will take my mother with me. I think I’m only nervous because Charleston was so brilliant, and as a trainer I’ve seen so many horror story dogs that seemed perfectly fine as puppies.
